I genuinely love my job. To be able to spend my days writing and creating with purpose – it’s THE BEST privilege to receive money for this gig.
Sure, there are parts about being a freelance creative that is not so fun like having to wear ALL the hats and spend weeks working as a salesperson – sometimes I have to remind myself – what do I do for a living again?
And that’s kind of how I’m feeling right now.
I miss design. I long to create for you. I miss being able to help. It’s a big part of what motivates me to get out of bed every morning.
To my beloved long-term clients that are hanging in there with me, I don’t have the right words to thank you. I JUST want to hug you. (I will definitely hug you for an awkwardly long time when I see you again – get ready for it)
I often go to my inner guidance and ask for direction, but as is the case with many of us at this time, we wait. We ponder. We worry about our country, our communities, our friends and family. We hopefully occupy our minds and time with other projects that were slowly simmering on the backburner.
Until then, I anticipate. I’ll be here for y’all when you’re ready to get things cooking again – loving on friends, family, and the city that I love – super lucky to call this place home and to have you support us like you do!
